This plugin has two important licensing contexts:
- License, as in your access to the files and updates after buying a license key
- License, as in the GPLv3 open-source license under which the files are given to you
1. License, as in your access to the files and updates after buying a license key
Buying a license key is the only way to obtain the plugin. A license key is generated at the time of purchase that will enable the plugin to operate and obtain updates. There is no recurring fee and no support guarantee beyond the first 14 days after purchase.
Plugin Updates
Updates are delivered to the plugins page in the dashboard like other familiar plugins. No updates are guaranteed or promised. This plugin does not lend itself to needing continual updates, so it does not cost continual money. I don’t expect the Google Sheets API v4 will be sunsetted soon. I don’t expect Gravity Forms will make it harder to operate an add-on like Entries to Google Sheet. These things could happen and would require a rewrite, but your purchase of the working software today does not include a guarantee that it will work forever.
Technical Support
Any purchase includes support for 14 days to make sure the plugin can be configured before your form launches. Our installation and setup guide describes each step of connecting a Gravity Form to a Google Sheet.
Upgrades
FAQ: Can I upgrade from the single-site license to unlimited?
2. License, as in the GPLv3 open-source license under which the files are given to you
Entries to Google Sheet is open-source and distributed as GPLv3 software. The PHP code is not obfuscated.
Dependencies
This plugin depends on a couple of open-source libraries. The Google API PHP client is released under the Apache License 2.0, which is compatible with the GPLv3. Yaro is licensed GPLv3.
